NPC Food Trucks

Fully autonomous food trucks, run by NPCs.

Taco trucks drive around your city on their own, follow the players, pull over when someone waves them down, and set up a real street stall right on the pavement. A chef cooks every order at the window while the driver carries out tables and chairs for customers to sit at.

No jobs to fill, no staff to hire and nothing to manage. Install it, add the food items, and your city has one more thing worth stopping for.

🌮 How It Plays

  • Spot a truck. Hear the jingle down the street, or find it on the map. Every truck shows under one "Food Truck" blip, coloured by what it is doing.
  • Wave it down. Look at a passing truck and press E. From a car, you flash your headlights instead. The driver notices after a moment, signals, and parks at the kerb.
  • Watch it set up. The driver walks to the back, carries out a bin, a table and chairs (plus a parasol at stops), and places each one by hand.
  • Order at the window. The camera eases onto the counter and a menu slides in. Browse the dishes, pick your items and pay by cash or card.
  • Watch it cook. The chef grills, fries, wraps, sauces, pours and bags your food with matching props. Your ticket hangs on a rail above the counter with a live progress bar.
  • Collect and sit down. A slip on screen tells you when your food is ready and points you back to the truck. The chef hands the bag over, and you can take a seat at the stall.

✨ Player Features

  • Trucks cruise the city looking for customers and head toward wherever players are.
  • Wave a truck down on foot, or flash your headlights from a car.
  • Trucks also stop by themselves when someone waits on the pavement beside them.
  • Full stall setup and pack-away, carried out piece by piece by the driver.
  • Sit on the stall chairs with your food.
  • Ask at the window for more seating and the driver brings out up to two more tables with chairs.
  • A chef who takes your order on a notepad and cooks it with real animations and props.
  • A polished order menu with a rotating dish display, categories, and cash or card payment.
  • Follow your order live after you pay: place in line, cooking, ready.
  • A ticket rail on the truck that everyone nearby can see, including other players' orders.
  • An on-screen pickup slip with a direction arrow and a countdown before the food goes cold.
  • Street sound: a jingle you can hear down the block, kitchen sizzle at the window and a bell when an order is up.

🚚 A Living, Self-Running Fleet

  • Goes where the people are. Trucks move toward the busiest parts of the city and spread out, so two trucks never crowd the same corner.
  • Never pops in. Trucks appear and move out of sight, on real traffic roads only. No trucks in storm drains, alleys or car parks.
  • Parks properly. Trucks pull in at the kerb with the serving window facing the pavement, never the traffic.
  • Shared by everyone. Every player sees the same truck, the same chef and the same tickets on the counter.
  • Keeps going when you leave. A truck far from players keeps its place on the map, keeps cooking and comes back exactly where it should be.

🛡️ Fair and Safe Kitchen

  • Every order, payment and hand-over is checked by the server.
  • Up to 10 orders queue per truck, with 4 cooking at the same time (both adjustable).
  • Only the player who paid can collect the order.
  • Food not collected within 5 minutes goes cold.
  • Automatic refunds if a truck is removed, breaks down, or the resource stops.
  • Players get a warning if their hands are full, before anything is handed over.

🛠️ Admin Panel

Open the panel with /foodtrucks and run the whole fleet from inside the game.

  • Fleet: add, rename, enable, disable or remove trucks.
  • Per truck: cruising and travel speed, how long it stays open, queue size, how many orders cook at once, and whether it can be waved down.
  • Live actions: pull over, close up, find a crowd, teleport to the truck, respawn, or send it to a stop.
  • Stops: place your own stops at beaches, parks or job sites with a see-through truck preview. Trucks rotate between them based on where players are.
  • Changes apply instantly, no restart needed.

🍽️ Your Menu, Your Way

  • Comes with 9 dishes across tacos, plates, sides and drinks.
  • Set your own dishes, prices, cook times and categories.
  • Link any dish to any item you already have in your inventory.
  • Ready-made item setup for Qbox, QBCore and ESX, including icons, is included.
  • Swap the truck jingle for your own audio file.
  • Every message can be translated.

⚙️ Compatibility

  • QBox, QBCore and ESX Legacy, detected automatically.
  • ox_target, qb-target and osm-target.
  • ox_inventory, qb-inventory and the ESX inventory.
  • Uses the base-game taco van, so there is nothing extra to stream.
  • Requires OneSync, ox_lib and oxmysql. Database tables are created automatically.
  • Trucks only exist as vehicles near players, which keeps the server light.

⭐ Why Server Owners Choose It

  • Adds life to every part of the map, even on quiet days.
  • Gives players something to do together between jobs and chases.
  • A natural meeting point for roleplay: a truck at the kerb quickly draws a crowd.
  • Runs itself from day one, with two starter trucks created on first start.
